The team at Green Ark provides LOCAL services, delivered by LOCAL people for LOCAL people. Green Ark is actually owned by members of the local community with Services constantly being developed on site and in the local area. They are all driven by YOUR needs. Peninsula Dental School
This Dental Education Facility is an NHS training clinic for dental students and is located on the Cumberland Centre Campus. As the service is provided by supervised trainee dental students, all care and advice is free. To find out more: 08451 558 109.
Smoking Cessation, DRCP

Quit4U2
A new quit smoking club for pregnant women. Crche and free manicures are available with bookings. To find out more: 01752 314 040.
Latch-On
Latch-on is a support group for breastfeeding women or pregnant women who are interested in breastfeeding. Come along and bring your family too if you like! Call Green Ark on 01752 565 555.
Weaning
This friendly and informal group is run by your Health Visitors and aims to give you the advice on what to feed your baby and how you can support their healthy eating. Call Green Ark on 01752 565 555.
Ante-Natal Service

Health Service

Young Peoples Mental Health Service
A free service that offers confidential support and advice for young people aged 14 25 yrs and their families living, using services or schools in the Devonport area. For more information contact: 01752 434 615.
Weight Loss
If you need help with weight loss, require the motivation to become more physically active or want to limit further weight gain, the 10% Club can help you lose 10% of your body weight. For further information, contact 07500 101 830.
The MEND Programme
This is a free, fun ten week programme held on weekdays after school, aimed at helping kids aged between 6 13 yrs become fitter, healthier and happier. If you think your child is unhealthy or overweight, call the MEND team on 07500 101 830.
Outreach Support
This service supports parent and carers with issues like behaviour, routines, housing, benefit entitlements and sign posting. Available through referral or self referral, local parents can access short term support within the home.
Plymouth Domestic Abuse
Plymouth Domestic Abuse Service (PDAS) offers a comprehensive package of support to women and children who are experiencing or fleeing from domestic abuse. The service is provided by the charity Carr-Gomm. Tel: 01752 252 033.
Free Home Safety Visits.
The fire and rescue service provide advice and guidance in regards to fire and home safety. You may even qualify for a FREE smoke alarm. Tel: 08007 311 822.

Baby Signing

Chatterbox

Talk and Toddle

Stay & Play with Rhyme Time
This is a play session for parents/carers and children from birth to 5 years. Providing an opportunity to make friends and share experiences, everyone enjoys lots of songs and rhymes. Call Green Ark on 01752 565 555.
Baby Talk
Suitable for sitting babies (from about 5 months to a year), this short course encourages play and exploration using treasure baskets, giving parents/carers a chance to chat and relax. Call Green Ark on 01752 565 555.
Community Play Sessions

Baby Weigh Ins

Second Steps

Baby Massage

Toy Library
The toy library lends out toys and larger equipment at a low cost. It can also provide and support play opportunities to groups in our area.

Day Care at Green Ark

The Green Ark Family Alliance is an informal gathering of people, just like you, who would like to have a say about what goes on at Green Ark Childrens Centre. Drop in Advice Sessions
If you are thinking of returning to learning, volunteering or work, drop in for a chat. Regular Drop in sessions give you the chance to chat to us about training and courses. They can also help you create CVs and fill out application forms
Training Courses

Connexions
Young people (13 19 years old) can speak to a Connexions Personal Adviser through Green Ark for Information, advice, guidance and practical help in preparing for adult and working life. Tel: 01752 207 701.
Gaining Opportunities And Living Skills (Goals)
